Methodology

1. The Index sums only disclosed values of published deals in our dataset; every deal links to its published source.
2. We never estimate undisclosed values; such deals count toward deal counts, not value.
3. Amounts are converted to USD at official pegs (AED 3.6725, SAR 3.75).
4. Each transaction is counted once: the closing of a previously announced deal is not re-added; only any new commitment announced at closing is added.
5. In the company ranking the full deal value is attributed to every named party, so company figures are not additive.
6. Each deal is attributed to the Gulf country it concerns, including outbound investments by Gulf investors (e.g. the US Aligned acquisition).
7. Announced values include pledges and multi-year plans, not confirmed spend.
